Designed and manufactured in 1967-68, these extremely uncommon "Astrea" chairs were designed by Joe Colombo for Stendig (retaining manufacturers label and documented as shown). A clever fiberglass cylindrical base holds foam and fabric cushions in place; while these chairs sit low, they are very comfortable and the foam and fiberglass (and woven jacquard fabric) is in excellent condition.
